Getting married in Georgia, step by step
The whole journey in plain language — what happens, when, and what's on us at every step.
Step 1 — Get your free legal checklist
You answer a few simple questions about the two of you. No booking, no payment.
Based on your answers, we tell you exactly which documents apply to your situation — and what you do not need to worry about. We review your answers personally and send your checklist by email, in your language.
- This step is completely free
- Nothing is booked or submitted yet
- You decide if and how you want to continue
Step 2 — Choose your level of support
From just-the-paperwork to a celebrated wedding day — you pick how much we do.
Every tier starts with the legal core: registration, two witnesses, notarized passport translation, your certificate and the apostille. Ceremony, flowers and photography are add-ons — never requirements. Real prices are on the prices page, starting from $435.
Step 3 — We prepare everything before you land
While you are still at home, we do the running.
We book your appointment at the Public Service Hall, arrange the notarized Georgian translation of your passports, and line up your two witnesses. You land inside our agreed 48-hour window — we meet you at the hotel with the translated documents.
Step 4 — Your day: sign at the Public Service Hall
The famous part takes about forty minutes.
You sign, we translate live, and our two witnesses co-sign. That is the legal marriage — done before lunch. Then: lunch in the old town, certificate in hand. A ceremony is optional — the civil signing is enough.
Step 5 — Apostille, then home — married
Same-day apostille at the Ministry of Justice.
The apostille makes your certificate valid in 150+ Hague Convention countries — the details are on the certificate & apostille page. Evening: dinner, and an optional short ceremony in a vineyard or castle. You fly home married.
